November 4, 2007: THE LORD'S DAY
The day began at 6:20AM when Joshua and I took an hour walk. We walked around a field owned by an American Baptist College that was filled with teenagers playing cricket. I don't think I will ever learn this game. It is wildly popular in India, and they boast it is the only sport that is played 365 days a year.
At worship services, LeRoy Klice taught a Bible class from the Sermon on the Mount, Luke 6:20-49, and Justin Monts preached a sermon, What A Sinner Learned After Death (Lk. 16:19-31). Our driver, Prasad, who is Hindu, attended brother Monts' lesson. Bobby had given him a Telugu Bible, and brother Joshua helped him find the scriptures. He heard the gospel and the warning to be prepared for death by obeying Jesus. We are praying he will read the Bible and come to faith and salvation.
Final preparations have been made for tomorrow's start of our second week of classes. It will be good to see brethren again who were in last year's classes. These brethren set great examples of endurance for us all, and their faith lifts ours as we work with them.
Let us all run the race with endurance, looking unto Jesus (Heb. 12:1-2).
